Contents 1 Athletics 2 Show Choir 3 References 4 External links // Athletics They offer 18 different sport activities, including baseball, basketball, bowling, cheering, cross country, dance, football, golf, ice hockey, lacrosse, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track and field, volleyball, weight lifting and wrestling. There are also a number of extracurricular organizations. The football team was Minnesota State Champions in 1977, 1978, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2009, and 2010, with a perfect record, in the Class AAAA division. The team also had a second place finish in 1989, along with 18 total state tournament appearances. The Men's Hockey team won the Class A state tournament in 2002. The men's team also finished 2nd in the state during the 1995 and 2005 seasons. Girls basketball won the state tournament in 2008. Girls soccer won the state tournament in 2001, 2002 and 2007. Dance team was runner up in both jazz and kick in the state tournament. Track and field has had many true team state appearances including a boy's first place finish in 2006 and girl's in 2008. The Track and Field team won the True Team State Championship in both the Boys and Girls division in 2009. This is the first time in school history that both Boys and Girls have won in the same season. The boys cross country team had their first ever state appearance in 2009. [2] In 2009 Paul Yonga was named Class A. Mr. Soccer. Yonga owns the career scoring record at T-G, the single season and career assists record, and was named the best player in the North Suburban Conference as both a junior and a senior. He has been First Team All-State three years in a row, and was chosen as the Minnesota High School Gatorade Boys Soccer Player of the Year as a junior.[3] In addition to many conference and state championships by numerous teams, the 2010 Totino-Grace Boys Varsity Lacrosse team won its first ever section 4 title.[4] Show Choir Company of Singers performing their opener at FAME Chicago: Show Choir Cup 2010 in Waukegan, Illinois near Chicago, Illinois Totino-Grace has some of the top show choirs in Minnesota and the nation. The school has three show choirs currently: Encore, the JV show choir, Testostertones (T-Tones), a non-audition show choir, and Company of Singers, the varsity show choir. In the 2010 competition season Company of Singers competed and ended the season one of the best records ever received by a show choir. The varsity show choir went undefeated, which two other show choirs did as well, Clinton Attaché and Waubonsie Valley Sound Check. But Company of Singers also swept each competition by receiving every caption award (Best Vocals, Best female soloist, Choreography, and Band) at each competition. On top of that, a judge never scored them below first. Company of Singers competed on received Grand Champion at FAME Chicago: Show Choir Cup. They received Grand Champion previously at the Show Choir Cup, making them one of very few show choirs to win the cup twice.
