It is located on the Shotts Line from Glasgow Central to Edinburgh Waverley via Shotts. The station has two platforms, connected by a level crossing, and CCTV. It is managed by First ScotRail. It was closed to passenger services by British Railways on 6 July 1964, and re-opened on 1 February 1971. .[2] Services It is currently served, Mondays to Saturdays, by one First ScotRail service each hour from Glasgow Central to Edinburgh Waverley.
