Contents 1 Geography 2 Demographics 3 References 4 External links // Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 45.8 square miles (118.7 km²), of which, 44.6 square miles (115.4 km²) of it is land and 1.3 square miles (3.3 km²) of it (2.79%) is water. Demographics As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 892 people, 319 households, and 243 families residing in the town. The population density was 20.0 people per square mile (7.7/km²). There were 473 housing units at an average density of 10.6/sq mi (4.1/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 95.40% White, 0.11% African American, 2.58% Native American, 0.11% Asian, 0.45% from other races, and 1.35% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.67% of the population. There were 319 households out of which 41.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 65.5% were married couples living together, 7.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.8% were non-families. 16.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.74 and the average family size was 3.12. In the town the population was spread out with 27.7% under the age of 18, 9.5% from 18 to 24, 27.4% from 25 to 44, 25.7% from 45 to 64, and 9.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 36 years. For every 100 females there were 95.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 97.2 males.
