He made his K-1 debut in 2007 at K-1 Fighting Network Romania 2007 against Stefan Leko.[1] He won Romanian version at Dancing with the Stars in season 10. The two squared off in a Superfight bout separate to the tournament bouts also being fought that night. Towards the end of the first round the "clapper" sounded, indicating ten seconds remaining until the end of the round. Moroşanu seemed to believe this to be the end of the round and began walking towards his corner, only to be met by a punch by Taiei who was rightfully continuing to fight. The bell sounded moments later to indicate the round was over, but Moroşanu deliberately continued to fight, hitting the defenceless Taiei with two punches, knocking him out. Moroşanu was disqualified from the fight, giving the victory to Taiei. The audience at the show booed the decision to award Taiei the fight as they seemingly believed the punches to have been thrown before, or exactly when the bell had sounded, however video evidence refutes this. [2] From March 19 through May 7, 2010 Cătălin Moroşanu participated at the most popular and viewed show "Dansez pentru Tine" (the Romanian version of Dancing with the Stars) to support a young mother who wanted to make her daughter's life easier and happier. He was considered to be the one-man show artist at this competition and was the most favourite participant. He made it into the Final and even placed his team on the 1st place earning 60 000 Euros for Magdalena Ciorobea, his partner in this show, collecting over 13 000 votes. Another interesting thing about Cătălin is that the K-1 promotion created him the image of a farmer. In one of the video-clips, Moroşanu appears driving an old tractor or in other drinking a personal brand of wine. It is also interesting that in his real life, he is a law student and owns a kickboxing gym.
