(January 2009) Campo station The Pacific Southwest Railway Museum, located at the corner of State Route 94 and Forrest Gate Road near Campo, California, is a railroad museum dedicated to the preservation and interpretation of railroads as they existed in the Pacific Southwest. The museum operates a heritage railroad that offers train rides (including some to Tecate, Mexico), and has 6 steam locomotives, 12 diesel locomotives and 59 other pieces of rolling stock. All Ticket to Tecate rides have been suspended since January 2010 until further notice. Movies There Goes a Train is a video that was made at Campo,Ca.The video was made in 1997 and the museum was closed for the week for shooting. Here, one of the museums MRS-1 locomotives was pulling a 3-car Golden State excursion train heading east.
