As a brown belt[1] he has won the No Gi Pan American Championship,[2] European Championship (his weight and absolute),[3] Asian Championship (his weight and absolute),[4] and a silver medal at the 2009 World Jiu-Jitsu Championship.[5] In 2009, Torres earned his black belt under Lloyd Irvin.
