He graduated from Holliston High School in 1980, and went on to college at Boston College. Loscocco worked his way through Boston College before he earned his B.A. Phi Beta Kappa in 1984. Loscocco then enrolled in Boston College Law School where he earned his J.D. in 1987, graduating 11th in his class. Loscocco and his wife Ann are the parents of three children, Emily, Katie, and Michael. Loscocco has practiced law as an attorney for the Boston-based law firm of Riemer & Braunstein since graduating from Boston College Law School. In 2000, Loscocco was elected to the Massachusetts House of Representatives as a member of the Republican Party representing the 8th Middlesex district. He served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives until retiring in 2009. Political career Loscocco first ran the Massachusetts House of Representatives in 2000, and won in his first bid for elected office. Loscocco served the MetroWest communities of the 8th Middlesex District from 2001 until 2009 when he retired, to honor self imposed term limits. 2010 campaign for Lieutenant Governor Loscocco, a former Republican State Representative was running for Lieutenant Governor as an Independent with State Treasurer Tim Cahill, a former Democrat. On October 1, 2010 Loscocco resigned from the Cahill campaign and fully endorsed republican Charles Baker, citing Cahill's falling poll numbers. However, it was later revealed that in a series of e-mails between Republican staffers and Loscocco's top aide, that he would be offered a "substantive lifeline" in return for his defection.
