It comes on a french roll with mustard and pickle with over 0.5 pounds (0.2 kg) of meat. You may also add tomatoes.[8] Along with the large portions of pastrami, the restaurant is also known for serving french fries in a paper grocery bag.[9] The Hat offers no table service, so all of the items are wrapped to go, but paper plates are given to customers who wish to "dine in."[10] The company has kept to its roots by keeping its retro neon signs featuring a chef’s toque and the words "World Famous Pastrami."[11] The iconic sign in Lake Forest, CA.
