His first screen appearance was in 2000 playing the lead role in the short film BIG. E made his mainstream film debut in Gangster No. 1, while his breakthrough came in the award-winning London to Brighton. Harris' other credits include Atonement, Daylight Robbery, RocknRolla, The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus and Dorian Gray, as well as many television appearances. In 2009, Harris won an award at the Brest European Short Film Festival for his portrayal of an abusive husband in Leaving, shared with co-star Kierston Wareing.
